We refer to the query from Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad dated 22 August 2008 in relation to the article which appeared in the Edge, Financial Daily, on the same date on pages 1 and 4 with regard to the following sentence “ IOI Corporation Berhad is believed to have succeeded in its bid to purchase Menara Citibank from Citigroup-associated Inverfin Sdn Bhd…. IOI would buy the building for RM800 million after outbidding two others”

We wish to inform that IOI Corporation Berhad has succeeded in its bid for the purchase of Menara Citibank and has reached an agreement with Inverfin Sdn Bhd and its shareholders to enter into a definitive agreement in due course. We wish to clarify, however, that the purchase consideration stated in the abovementioned press article is purely speculative. The Company shall make the requisite announcement on the detailed terms of the purchase in accordance with the Listing Requirements as soon as the definitive agreement has been executed.

This announcement is dated 25 August 2008.

22 August 2008, page 1 & 4, copies of which are enclosed for your reference.

In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence,
which is reproduced as follows:
