Further to the Company's announcement on 22 October 2003 in respect of the Letter of Award regarding the Double Tracking Project, the Company wishes to announce that MMC-Gamuda Joint Venture ("MMC-Gamuda JV") has already offered the first right of refusal as sub-contractors to IRCON International Limited and CRET Malaysia in respect of certain identified stretches for the Northern section and Southern section respectively. Neither of the party has accepted the aforementioned offer.

MMC-Gamuda JV shall therefore proceed to undertake the works.
