Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad (“MSC” or “the Company”) wishes to advise that Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad by their letter dated 15 October 2009 has decided to grant a further extension of time of six (6) months from 23 September 2009 to 22 March 2010 for the Company to comply with the public shareholding spread requirement pursuant to paragraph 8.02(1) of the Main LR.

As at 4 September 2009, a total of 23.13% shares of the Company are held by a total of 1,752 public shareholders.
